Still Laughing

Firstly, I have to say that all of the short story videos were great!  The frolicking in the quad, the crying, and the off-camera film directions all contributed to a humorous class session.  I think high school students would love to make 20 shot films just like the ones made in our class.  Also, I liked that each group had to choose only 20 shots, although some stories were much longer than others.  I was able to see what each group thought was important being given a specific number of frames to fill.  I also liked that we were not able to edit the films because they focused on the story alone, without all the "fluff."

Storyboarding!

Okay, this storyboard shot is much better than any of the ones that I drew.  Although, I do think there is a lot of value in having students draw storyboards, rather than just having them write a summary of the story.  I love drawing and I am a very visual learner so I had a lot of fun with this project.  Storyboarding accommodates for students, like me, who have different learning styles.
