Introduction

The name of my blog explains a lot about me and my philosophy of teaching.  I feel that it is important to reflect on my own high school education to gain an understanding of who I want to be as a teacher.  My high school classes were mainly lecture based.  In my opinion, these classes hinder memory retention and are simply not enjoyable.  I hope to lead student centered classes where my students feel comfortable expressing their ideas and taking risks.  Rather than passing information to my students, I hope to let them discover it on their own.  Above all, I hope to never quit learning and moving forward!  Enjoy!
